Meet our little warrior.
Only one year old, yet already braver than most of us will ever be.
Born with congenital heart disease, her tiny heart has fought from the very first beat.
From the very beginning, her life has been defined by challenges that would overwhelm even grown adults.

Endless nights in hospitals. Monitors beeping constantly. Needles, medications, and surgeries that demand courage beyond her years.
Through it all, she faces every day with wide eyes and the purest, most radiant smile.
Every breath is a victory. Every giggle is a miracle.

While other toddlers run freely, she learns to pace her joy. Her heart whispers, “slow down,” and she listens, finding balance between play and rest.
And yet, even with limits, she shines. Her laughter fills rooms, melting hearts, spreading joy wherever she goes.
She doesn’t know she’s “sick.” To her, life is love, curiosity, and wonder.
In her small chest beats a spirit stronger than most could imagine, a courage that reminds us daily what resilience looks like.

This is CHD—not just a condition, but a
daily battle wrapped in hope, determination, and love.
Her story teaches us that the smallest hearts can move the biggest mountains, that even tiny bodies can contain extraordinary courage.
Every procedure, every quiet struggle, and every victorious breath reminds us that life’s greatest miracles often come in the tiniest packages.
Her parents, caregivers, and doctors witness daily feats that defy expectation, from her first independent steps to her moments of curiosity and play.
Each day is a triumph. Each milestone, no matter how small, is celebrated like a major victory.

Her courage is contagious. Her perseverance inspires. Her joy reminds us that love can coexist with struggle, and that hope can thrive even in the hardest battles.
This little warrior reminds the world that CHD is not the sum of her limitations. She is strength, laughter, love, and life itself.
Keep fighting, little one. The world is already in love with you, and every beat of your tiny heart tells us that courage comes in all sizes.
Michael’s Second Fight: A Family’s Battle for Life and Breath 1948

In 2022, Michael faced a battle few could imagine — 125 days in the hospital, three weeks in a coma, ECMO support, and months of painstaking rehabilitation just to learn to walk again. A double lung transplant saved his life, and against all odds, he returned home. He healed. He worked. He provided. He became Dad again.
But last August, the unthinkable happened. A sudden gallbladder issue escalated into sepsis and multiple infections, and now chronic rejection threatens the lungs that once saved his life. Michael’s transplanted organs are failing. He is being prepared for another double lung transplant — a fight his family had prayed they would never face again.

The hardest part isn’t only the physical struggle. It’s watching a husband, a father, and a man who has already fought so much, struggle to breathe while trying to remain strong for the children who depend on him. His 2½-year-old son, Jireh, follows him everywhere, aspiring to “be just like Daddy.” His 17-year-old daughter, Aubrey, a high-school senior, waits for her dad to walk her across the stage. His two adult sons pray every day that they won’t lose him.
To survive, Michael’s family must relocate to Florida for months — before, during, and after surgery — uprooting their lives while facing uncertainty, exhaustion, and fear. Every step of this journey tests their resilience, their hope, and their love for one another.

Michael’s story is one of courage and determination. It’s also a story of a family refusing to surrender, of a community that can rally to provide strength and support. Through social media, friends, and strangers, encouragement and care can be extended, reminding the family that they are not alone. Words of hope, prayers, and messages of solidarity matter. They remind Michael and his loved ones that even in the darkest moments, the world stands with them.
This is more than a medical journey. It is a testament to love, endurance, and the human spirit. It reminds us how fragile life can be, how precious each breath is, and how families can hold together even when life seems unbearably hard. Every step toward the operating room is an act of courage, every embrace from a child is a source of motivation, and every show of support is a lifeline for a family fighting to stay whole.

Michael’s story asks us to pause, reflect, and rally. It is a call for empathy, for community, and for collective hope — a reminder that even when a family faces the unimaginable twice, love and support can help carry them forward.
