On March 15th, 2024, the Laliberte family’s world was turned upside down. Just one day before his 19th birthday, their son, Ryan, was involved in a devastating single-car accident. As a backseat passenger, Ryan sustained severe injuries, leading to him being admitted to the ICU, where he has been enduring a series of surgeries and procedures ever since. The family has been at his side every step of the way, navigating the difficult journey of recovery while facing emotional and financial burdens.
Ryan’s parents, along with his high school-aged sister, have been taking turns traveling back and forth from their home in Oceanside to the hospital in San Diego. The constant travel, parking fees, and meals have added significant stress to an already overwhelming situation. To make matters worse, the family is facing the unknown financial strain that will come with the medical bills, especially given the extended hospital stay and surgeries Ryan requires.

Despite the challenges, the family has found strength in the support they’ve received. Hundreds of people have been praying for Ryan’s recovery, and the family is deeply grateful for this outpouring of love and compassion. Yet, even as they are buoyed by the support of their community, the financial reality is a heavy burden that they can’t carry alone. That’s why we’re asking for your help — to relieve some of the financial stress and allow the family to focus on Ryan’s healing.
After a long and difficult period, there is finally hope on the horizon. Ryan was discharged from the ICU, only to return due to recurring bleeding. However, things seem to be moving in the right direction now. The doctors performed an Interventional Radiology procedure to embolize the blood vessel responsible for the bleeding. While the procedure had been delayed due to its risks, the medical team ultimately decided that an aggressive approach was needed. Fortunately, Ryan has shown no adverse reactions, and his recovery since the procedure has been steady.

Next, Ryan is scheduled for a critical skin graft surgery on Friday to address a large wound on his stomach. This wound, which is roughly the size of a football, resulted from the challenges of fully closing an incision after his previous open surgery. The skin graft will eliminate the need for a wound vac and is expected to expedite the healing process. After the surgery, Ryan will remain in the hospital for monitoring to ensure there are no complications, and if all goes as planned, he should be discharged by next Thursday.
Although this is a positive step forward, Ryan still faces more medical challenges. He will require hernia repair surgery within six months to a year. While he was at high risk for a hernia after his initial surgeries, the wound left untreated in his abdomen has resulted in a hernia that will need to be addressed in the near future.

Ryan’s road to recovery is far from over, and the family knows that there will be many more challenges along the way. Still, they are holding onto hope and feeling incredibly grateful for the progress he’s made so far. The emotional strain of seeing their son in pain has been overwhelming, but they are determined to see this through.
As the Laliberte family continues to fight alongside Ryan, they are asking for your support. The financial burden of medical bills, travel, and living expenses is a heavy load, and every contribution can make a difference. Whether you can donate, share the story, or offer your prayers, your support will go a long way in helping this family navigate this incredibly difficult time.

Ryan’s story is one of resilience, and with the love and support of those around him, he is slowly making progress. His family is committed to doing whatever it takes to help him recover, but they need the community’s help to lighten the load. Your generosity will ensure that they can stay focused on what matters most — Ryan’s recovery and their family’s well-being.
Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support. Let’s help the Laliberte family continue to walk this journey with strength, love, and hope.

Becca June: A Little Girl With an Unstoppable Spirit 💛.655

In a world that often measures strength by what we see on the outside, Becca June has been quietly teaching everyone around her what true courage looks like. At just a young age, she has faced challenges that would shake even the strongest of hearts. Born with
Down Syndrome and Autism, Becca’s journey was already uniquely complex, full of milestones that required patience, understanding, and love. But as if that weren’t enough, she was also diagnosed with cancer — a battle no child should ever have to face.
From the moment her diagnosis arrived, Becca and her family entered a world of uncertainty, fear, and endless hospital visits. Chemotherapy sessions, lab tests, and the rigors of treatment became part of their daily life. Yet, through every procedure, every difficult day, Becca never lost her spirit. Even in the hospital, she would find ways to light up a room — a smile here, a giggle there — showing that joy and resilience are not diminished by adversity.

Her parents recall countless moments where her strength surprised even the doctors and nurses. A needle, a long wait, or a scary procedure might have caused fear in most children, but Becca approached each challenge with a bravery that was almost tangible. Her mother described her as
“a little warrior, full of light, teaching us every day how to keep going no matter how hard life gets.”
Through the years, Becca’s journey has not just been about enduring difficult treatments; it’s also been about celebrating the little victories. The first day she walked into school with confidence, the first time she communicated a new word, or the first laughter shared with friends — each was a triumph. These small victories, though subtle, represented hope, perseverance, and the unwavering spirit of a child who refused to be defined by labels or illness.

After months of treatment, countless hospital visits, and the love and support of her family, Becca June has finally graduated from cancer treatment.
