A Little Life, A Fierce Fight: Frankie-James and the Parents Who Refuse to Leave His Side. Hyn
From the moment Frankie-James entered the world, his life has been defined by courage far greater than his tiny body. Born prematurely at just 32 weeks on October 11, 2024, in Wrexham Hospital, Frankie arrived far earlier than expected—and with challenges no family could ever prepare for.
For his parents, Meg and Dan, that day marked the beginning of a journey filled with fear, hope, exhaustion, and an unwavering love that has never once left their son’s side.
Since his birth, Frankie-James has lived almost entirely within hospital walls. What was meant to be a brief stay turned into months of uncertainty, alarms, procedures, and prayers whispered through sleepless nights. Meg and Dan have made the hospital their home, choosing to remain by Frankie’s bedside day and night, refusing to miss a single breath, a single moment, a single fight.

Frankie’s diagnosis is as rare as it is devastating. He has microdeletion syndrome, meaning parts of two of his chromosomes are missing—an exact combination so rare that doctors believe he is the only baby in the world with these specific deletions. This genetic condition has led to a cascade of life-threatening complications: heart failure, a severe grade-four brain bleed causing brain damage, internal bleeding, multiple organ failure, a rare insulin disorder, seizures, severe muscle spasms, and the need for more than ten blood transfusions.
Each diagnosis arrived like another wave crashing over already-tired parents. Yet Frankie continued to fight.
He has already endured heart surgery and will require another open-heart procedure once he grows stronger. After being ventilated for over two months, Frankie now relies on oxygen support, having developed chronic lung disease. Feeding, something most babies do instinctively, has been impossible for him—leading doctors to plan the placement of a PEG feeding tube to ensure he receives the nourishment his body needs to keep going.

So far, Frankie has spent more than 130 days across four different hospitals. And still, there is no clear answer as to when—or if—he will finally come home.
There have been moments when Meg and Dan were told to prepare for the worst. Moments when doctors gently warned that Frankie might not survive the night. Time and time again, it was the dedicated team at Arrowe Park Hospital’s NICU who stepped in, fighting alongside Frankie when hope felt impossibly thin. Their care, skill, and compassion gave Frankie chance after chance when the odds were stacked against him.
While Frankie fights for his life, Meg and Dan face another harsh reality. Since his birth, both parents have been unable to work. Living in the hospital to stay close to their son has come at a crippling financial cost—travel expenses, food, daily necessities, and the strain of months without income. Yet leaving Frankie is not an option they would ever consider.

Doctors have explained that Frankie may have a shorter life expectancy and will likely need full-time care for the rest of his life. For Meg and Dan, this news only strengthens their resolve. If time is limited, they want every single day to be filled with love, comfort, and joy. They want Frankie to feel happiness in every moment he is here with them.
Despite everything—despite the machines, the diagnoses, the endless uncertainty—Frankie continues to show the world what true bravery looks like. In his quiet determination, in the way he keeps fighting when he shouldn’t have to, he has become a symbol of resilience far beyond his years.
Meg and Dan are endlessly grateful for the doctors, nurses, friends, and family who have carried them through the darkest days. Now, they are asking for help—not just in the form of donations, but through compassion, sharing, and standing with them in their fight.

Every contribution, no matter how small, helps keep this family together by Frankie’s side. Every share helps spread Frankie’s story further, reminding the world that even the smallest lives can fight the biggest battles.
Frankie-James is still here. Still fighting. Still loved beyond measure. And with the support of a caring community, his parents hope to give him the happiest days possible—one brave breath at a time. ❤️

Mohammad’s Fight Against Neuroblastoma: A Parent’s Desperate Plea.2856

We are parents who wake up every day torn between hope and fear. Our precious 4-year-old son, Mohammad, who once filled our home with joy and laughter, is now battling a deadly disease. Neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer, has taken over his body. It’s a fight no child should have to face, and we are desperately pleading for your help.
Until March 2025, Mohammad was a healthy, happy child. He loved to play, run around, and laugh with his siblings. But everything changed when he started complaining about pain in his side. At first, we didn’t think much of it, but as the pain persisted, we knew something was wrong. We rushed him to the hospital, where after several tests, a CT scan, and an initial diagnosis of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, we were given news that shattered our world.
The initial diagnosis was just the beginning of a nightmare we never imagined. As we waited for further tests and treatment options, the uncertainty grew unbearable. Time was precious, and the longer we waited, the more we feared for Mohammad’s life. We couldn’t sit idly by, so we did everything we could. We sold our belongings, borrowed money from relatives, and made the difficult decision to take Mohammad to Turkey, hoping for a chance to save his life.

It was there, in Turkey, that we received the devastating truth. The diagnosis was wrong. Mohammad didn’t have lymphoma. Instead, he was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma, a highly aggressive and fast-growing cancer that originates from the adrenal glands and quickly spreads to other parts of the body, including the bone marrow. The severity of his condition was crushing, and we realized that this battle would be more difficult than we had ever imagined.
Mohammad immediately began his treatment in Turkey, starting with four cycles of chemotherapy, followed by a targeted drug treatment. The doctors planned for him to undergo surgery to remove the tumor from his right adrenal gland, after which he would need 35 sessions of radiotherapy. These treatments are his only chance for survival, but they come at an unimaginable cost.
We’ve already spent everything we had—our savings, our home, and our peace of mind—just to get this far. We are now faced with an overwhelming financial burden. The cost of treatment in Turkey, including chemotherapy, surgery, and radiotherapy, is far beyond what we can afford on our own. Time is not on our side, and Mohammad’s condition is deteriorating with every passing day. Without further funds, we cannot continue his treatment.

As parents, we will do anything to save our son. Every moment we spend watching Mohammad suffer, not knowing whether he will survive, is unbearable. The pain of seeing him in a hospital bed, unable to walk, unable to play, is something no parent should ever experience. His childhood—his innocence—has been stolen by this cruel disease, and we are fighting with everything we have to give him back the life he deserves.
But we cannot fight this battle alone. We need your help. Your donation, no matter how small, can make a life-saving difference for Mohammad. Every penny will go directly toward his treatment: chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy, and the medical care he desperately needs. We are asking for your kindness, compassion, and generosity to help us give Mohammad a fighting chance.
We dream of the day when Mohammad can run again, play with his siblings, and live the life of a healthy child. But that future can only happen with your support. Please, if you can, help us bring Mohammad back to his childhood. Help us save his life.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers, donations, and support. Every act of kindness brings us closer to seeing Mohammad healthy again. Together, we can make a difference in his fight for life.
Please help us save Mohammad. Every minute counts.
